PROPERTIES / APPLICATIONS

  • HTC PU 3810 has to be cross-linked with HTC Crosslinker 23 (dosage 4-7%) in order to obtain a film with an improved fullness, resistance to chemicals and high mechanical performance. The product thus obtained is suitable for concrete floors as anti-dust and/or as top-coat for epoxy resins systems.
  • HTC PU 3810 and the crosslinker have to be mixed for about 2-3 minutes with appropriate mechanicale quipment (e.g. Helix drill).
  • Cross-linked HTC PU 3810 allows to obtain a film characterized by an excellent resistance to chemicals both organic (e.g. coffee, wine, mustard, tomato sauce, etc.) and inorganic (e.g. acetone, water, detergents, ammonia, acids and bases).
  • HTC PU 3810 can also be applied as a clear finish for decorative paints (e.g. Venetian stucco). Two or more coats of paints are necessary.
  • It can be used to obtain anti-slip surfaces with the addition of glass microspheres (fine or large) and maintained mixing to avoid product sedimentation.
  • The support must be solid, dry, aged(if it’s of new creation). Leveled, absorbent and free of oils, detergents, dust or other substances.
  • It’s recommended to properly evaluate the appropriate technique (abrasion or peening) if mechanical preparation of substrate is required.
  • For support of new creation or very adsorbent ones it’s suggested a pre-treatment with two or more coats of HTC Primer 1800 to improve the anchorage of the product.
  • HTC PU 3810 can substitute epoxy systems or be painted on the surfaces to give excellent abrasion resistance to the systems.
  • HTC PU 3810 can be pigmented or the final color is given from the stained bottom.
  • HTC PU 3810 and pigments have to be mixed for about 2-3 minutes with appropriate mechanical equipment (e.g. Helix drill).
  • HTC PU 3810 is resistant to UV rays, because it’s an aliphatic polyurethane and not an aromatic one.
  • It’s always recommended a prior mixing before use and an application temperature between 5 and 30 °C

STORAGE CONDITIONS

  • The product have conditions the product won’t change its properties in a period of 12 months from the date of production.
  • However, after a long period of storage, a slight separation of the product may occur, but this doesn’t chance the product efficacy.
  • It’s suggested a prior mixing before use to ensure the homogeneity of the system.
